Guest Videos: Cops, Leopards, and Roars


This starts with Episode 1 of a real-life action film series posted online by RT (associated with the Russian government).

It’s a little stilted and artificial-sounding in spots, especially with the dubbed voices in English by actors who are just reading from a script, not emoting, but it does show how wildlife conservation can be challenging.

From the Siberian Times online, it sounds like poachers — a very real problem — get the public stirred up. Russians love cats, including their wild ones.



That is very grim, but it’s a reality that all endangered cats face.

On a brighter note, who’s up for almost 30 minutes of wildlife cam views from Land of the Leopard National Park?



They including a partial video, no audio, of Typhoon the Leopard calling. Here is that incredibly lucky film capture with sound (turn up the volume!):
