That was taken yesterday morning, when the sun could still be seen. Smoke got worse later on and the daytime skies have been either diffuse orange or red since.

Fortunately, I haven’t been directly affected by the fires, but it’s too hard to concentrate just now and yet there’s a little more research needed. So, I’m going to put off Friday’s post until next week. There may or may not be a Sunday Volcano this week.
