Astronomers have nicknamed a mysterious explosion spotted recently “Cow,” based on the last three letters in its formal catalogue name.
They have no idea what it is. NASA experts have made this suggestion;
However, per this story, they may be assuming that the Cow is in our Milky Way galaxy–it wouldn’t show up as brightly if it happened elsewhere.
And the Cow is in another galaxy. So, what is it?
