Today we start with the country most people do not think of first when they think of dogs: Jamaica.

More seriously, dogs reportedly are not treated as pets in Caribbean countries. Some of them have a hard time.

So a Jamaican animal shelter, whenever possible, organizes a shipment of rescue dogs to new homes in Canada. ❤️

Unlike the 1988 bobsled team that the fictional Cool Runnings was based on, the rescue dogs will not return to Jamaica.

Hopefully, they will have coats and blankets and plenty of indoor treats during the cooler summers and hard winters!
