Perhaps he thinks he is fostering them.
Larry obviously is not MAGA.
But there is nothing wrong with ordinary folks (and cats) wanting to see America great again.
And there is nothing wrong with wearing silly red hats to show you care about a wonderful special relationship that nobody but a few fools want to see ended…confound their knavish tricks!

Addendum, April 8, 2026, 11:15 a.m., Pacific: Yesterday, the President of the United States threatened to destroy Iran’s civilization, with a barely veiled reference to nuclear weapons.
At the last moment, he appeared to cave completely and agreed to a two-week “ceasefire.”
No US President should remain in office after such a threat and I hope he will be impeached (the articles are already drawn up, although Republicans have not yet called for a special session of Congress).
Also, I think there was more going on yesterday than we realized, and I just tweeted about it (below).
Republicans: Choose now what you will be remembered for by history — with honor, for standing by decency and impeaching this man, or revulsion for allowing him to continue on, for being complicit with it.
If you let this insane smile of Pride hypnotize you into hatred, you will never see what’s really going on. Look instead at what is good and THINK.
