Why not a glamour shot for a dog that too often goes unnoticed, though not by American Kennel Club members as well as many, many other dachshund fans worldwide.
Of course, you might get arrested for animal cruelty in some places for trying to invent such a breed today.
That long back and those short legs do lead to health issues in this breed of domestic wolf.
But back in the day, hunters needed help when tracking small prey in dense forests and brush, and animals did not have recognized rights (although, given their affectionate nature now, in most cases these hunting dogs probably got just as much loving care as they do today).
Nowadays, dachshunds do bask in glamour:
