These canids look a lot like New Guinea’s singing dogs, don’t they?

I don’t know what the connection between dingoes and singing dogs might be in this naturally wolf-free part of the planet, but its likely name is H. sapiens.
What do you think?

Update, July 21, 2023: A double tragedy happened this week to remind us that dingoes, despite appearances, are not domestic dogs. They are efficient pack hunters and unaware of our feelings for them.
Per the Times:
Dingoes savaged a woman at one of Australia’s top wild tourist attractions after driving her into shallow water.
Sarah Peet, 24, was rushed to hospital in Queensland by helicopter on Monday after dingoes cornered her at K’gari — formerly Fraser Island — and attacked, biting her as many as 30 times. The prolonged mauling was stopped by men in four-wheel drive vehicles, who drove at the wild native dogs and forced them away.
That was the first tragedy.
Second, authorities decided to kill the pack’s leader and they have done so, humanely.
All because someone decided that rules didn’t apply to them.
Sigh.
This double tragedy — and the reason why wildlife areas have rules — is an example of the uglier facts of life on Earth that general-interest documentaries must leave out, but that we do need to cover here.
Some lagniappe:
Heaven help any dingo who meets Roger!
