Update, June 5, 2023, 11:14 a.m., Pacific: There isn’t much news, which is nice. And there hasn’t been a VAAC advisory up for many hours.

But, as the boffins note in the CENAPRED bulletin released a little while ago —

The Scientific Advisory Committee (CCA) of the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) for the Popocatépetl volcano concluded that the most likely scenario in the short term is that an activity similar to the one that has occurred recently continues, characterized by the occurrence of tremor of high frequency and variable amplitude; some explosions of smaller to moderate size and occasionally large, and ash emissions possibly reaching populations more distant than already observed, as well as the ejection of incandescent fragments within the 12-kilometer exclusion radius.

The CCA, composed of specialists from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the University of Colima (UC) and Cenapred remains in permanent session.
