Guest Video: The Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes


It’s not smoking very much now. The pyroclastic flows from this eruption have cooled and hardened.

Note at the YouTube page: “This is the only film dedicated just to the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes. I brought the treatment into National Geographic in 1989. We spent two years filming it. I shot most of the underwater scenes and Steve Maslowski, Neil Rettig, Bill Lindner, Jordie Klein.. shot the rest. It was all shot on 16mm film.”
