The good news on this next post in the cat-evolution series: I’m out of the Precambrian!
Don’t laugh: it lasted for more than 80% of Earth’s history and was full of surprises, mysteries, and interesting events.
For example, there’s a multi-billion-year-old reason why we need antioxidants in our diet, as well as oxygen in our air.
This video starts in the Archaen submarine volcanism-based Earth we visited last time.
The bad news on the upcoming post: From the Cambrian on, apparently, Life got up to shenanigans long before it reached my planned close for this chapter (a fish walking up onto dry land).
Fortunately, the focus on cats (and us) frames this neatly, but I’m going slowly so as not to miss anything relevant and major.
The post will be up soon, though perhaps not this week as hoped. I’ll try, though.
Thank you all so much for your interest and support!
