I wanted to share this now because the Taupo Part 2 post is almost done, and Taupo’s supereruption and Yellowstone’s Huckleberry Ridge eruption have something in common: they were stop-and-go events, not a single massive BOOM!

I don’t know why everyone says Taupo’s was the last supereruption — Kikai’s was more recent. Nevertheless, it is always a good idea to respect Taupo, a very hazardous volcano.
