Writing Update

Just a quick heads-up to say that there might be some interruptions in posts (volcanoes p.r.n., cats, and dogs).

I’m going to try hard to avoid it, but:

  • Getting a handle on Machairodus ate up my lead time and, when we transition to barbourofelids, I may need a little more research time — maybe not: I plan to be less in-depth on them and nimravids (not close relatives of Nimravides, although E.D. Cope couldn’t know that when he named this sabercat), because they both were here so long ago.

But you never know where reading will take you.

  • What inspired this post was a swipe my stalkers just took at my internet connection. It was just once, thus far, but readers should know what has happened if the blog suddenly goes quiet. There’s an off-chance that it might be that.

If need be, I can do the sabertooth posts offline and then, when online again, release them all in one swell foop.

But the doggies would have to wait; fortunately, that series is on 2024 information, not breaking news.

Also, I schedule those posts up to a month in advance.

We’ll see how things go.

As always, thank you for your support!

What to expect:

If I get behind with the sabertooths, I’ll let you know that Friday with a brief writing update.

If it’s the stalkers, then service provider and law enforcement matters might be occupying my time.

And, of course, if it’s something like wildfires, weather, or the Cascadia “big one,” that should make the news anyway — and you can expect a post on it when I’m back online.
