Well, we’ve completed the feliform/caniform series — thanks for staying with me! ππ
It’s been a year now that I have been writing more intensively, starting last fall with Amazon Vella (by the way, they sent everyone an email over the weekend saying that Vella will close in February — it just didn’t catch on as they had hoped it would).
From now to the end of the year and perhaps into the early new year, look for weekend guest videos on the blog. After I finish up the two planned “Kaboom” posts (VEI 8’s and those few magnitude 9’s waaay back in the day), I’m going to ease up for a brief break while continuing to cover any volcano news and, of course, indulging any unexpected inspirations. π
The guest-video posts involve less intensive work, which was why I started them while working on eBooks, etc., behind the scenes, but now that there is SO much video content (on YouTube, mostly), they also serve as useful filters.
I hope that you’re enjoying them, too. Thanks for all the likes!

Also, during this little break, I’m going to fiddle with the blog layout and other details, update its menu, make the header image live, and perhaps also add some new features to my author site.
Finally, I’ll also look ahead to potential writing projects in 2025. As mentioned in Saturday’s post on Canidae, a series on dogs is possible.
Are there any topics or series you would like to see?
Please let me know in the comments!
I’m open to feedback all the time but will be especially interested in your “wish lists” between now and, roughly, the end of January.
As always, thank you for your interest and support!
