Guest Video: Space Volcanoes!


The news that Jupiter’s fiery moon Io has another volcano might not rock everybody’s socks off, since we already know that Io is hellish.

But it means a lot to volcanologists, and especially, to experts who study what the BBC Earth Sciences people called (with some understandable hyperbole) “Our Universe’s Most Volatile Volcanoes” in this 2023 documentary:

In further news this year, it’s possible that both our Moon and the planet Venus might still be volcanically active!
