It’s hard to believe that this beautiful place is only three hours from Seattle.
The geology is complex and this park also hosts two active — and hazardous — Cascades volcanoes:
But you don’t have to know any of that background information to relax here and enjoy the scenery:

There is a grizzly bear restoration program here, and if you meet one, don’t do what these hikers did and do follow that shouted advice — “Don’t run.”
