We covered cats yesterday but, yes, there have been dog rescues in Japan after the Noto earthquake in January — even off the Japanese coast!
However, I looked back in time after reading the article, linked in yesterday’s post, about how pet owner refusals to evacuate without their animal companions after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 changed the way shelters handle such situations.
