Yesterday we mostly focused on cats and the live waterhole cam in Namibia.
To see the Cape fox, we need to go a little farther south — yes, to the Cape.
It’s a lively place, though dangerous for little canids. Can you tell which is the jackal and which the fox?
The Kalahari live cam occasionally films these small canids (check the time stamps that they post every day).
It isn’t a close-up, so here are two more videos of these adorable foxes (note the gray/light tan color and large ears — adaptations to blend into the semi-arid Kalahari Desert and to hear better in that dry, noise-attenuating environment):
(Squee alert!)
