Almost done with the Amazon Vella project, but we need to go lightly on the weekend’s posts for at least one more day.
I hope you will enjoy these videos of wild cats dealing with cameras as much as I did.
The first one is a really trippy video made by a lioness who grabbed a selfie stick with running camera:
Don’t you hate how the camera makes your nose look big?
Big cat, little cat, “Who let you in here?” Manul wants to know:
Actual comment: “I love how this cat always looks a little bit mentally unstable.”
A little bit?
Snow leopards are more sensible and want to know, “Can you eat it?”:
And here is a little big cat, checking things out:
A Eurasian lynx gives us a closeup of its summer-length beard, ear tufts, and beautiful facial markings.
Fact for the day: Most cat eyes have vertical pupils; big cats, the puma lineage, and Manul (see above) have round pupils; but for some reason, the lynx’s pupils are midway between vertical and round.
Finally, there is that walking mountain of orange-and-black feline gravitas in Siberia, who does not deign to even glance at the small human contraption as it passes by;
Its numbers are growing.
Some lagniappe:
