I don’t know for sure what subspecies of brown bear they are.

Actual comment: “I don’t know about the Kodiak bears but we watched Alaskan Brown Bear 480 Otis eat 42 salmon in one day a few years ago on the explore webcams of Katmai Brooks Falls. I think this year his top number was 36. His average for a season ends up being around 14 per day. There are a few people who keep daily totals on days he’s on camera and he’s on camera most days for at least a little while.”
