Guest Videos: Patagonia and the Paramo

Somewhere out here is the little cat we’re going to meet this Friday:

This wild kitty also ranges farther north along the crest of the Andes in the paramo and even among bare rocks — anywhere there is enough cover and shelter, as well as its favorite prey: rabbit-like viscachas.

There are other paramos besides those of Colombia. In some of these, and elsewhere in the High Andes of Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina, another rare cat quietly goes about its business:
