Guest Video: Protecting the Pampas

The little cat we’re going to meet this Friday takes its name from these grasslands, though it is found in other settings, too.

More information about the Argentinian Pampas.

Per Wikipedia, most of Uruguay is pampas, too.

Two cats make an appearance here. That’s not a house cat at around 2:35 — it’s the pampas cat. But before that it’s wonderful to see the jaguar, which conservationists say has been extirpated from Uruguay. Hopefully, this biosphere is helping jaguars make a comeback here.

Also, weather radios and lightning rods sometimes are good protection ON the Pampas!

Argentina’s geography makes these some of the strongest storms on Earth.
